 That inspection is important. The oil should be changed at that stage. The machine should be inspected for manufacturing problems also end user handling of the equipment. Problems picked up early can save a lot of money at a later time.

The 25 hour service:

 That inspection is important. The oil should be changed at that stage. The machine should be inspected for manufacturing problems also end user handling of the equipment. Problems picked up early can save a lot of money at a later time. The air filter should be cleand by now and sometimes replaced. The blades should be inspected for wear. Hande bolts tightened, controls checked for normal function. The engine should be checked for running and idiling correctly.
The modern mower engine require both clean fuel and a properly working air filter system.

For machines that have multiple service requirements.
Includes the 25 hour service plus:
Your machine may show signs of starting difficulty. The blades may be worn by now.  The air filter will need replacing. A new spark plug should be fitted. The fuel filter may need cleaning. Engine controls, linkages and cables may need adjusting.
